It’s back to school and work, and back to meal planning time in our house. As I mentioned in this year’s printable menu plan we’re getting back in the routine of each person taking a night to cook and cleanup. This will be week one which repeats every 4 weeks with some adjustments.
So to that end I’m sharing our menu plan, but also who is in charge each evening. It is helpful to have some division of labor if you have more than one person at home who can cook (or needs to learn), so you may need to adapt the routine to suit your own family.
Meal Plan for Week of January 6th
Monday: Emma’s night- Taco night though I may insist she makes Easy Guacamole.
Tuesday: Clean out the fridge night.
Wednesday: Nathan’s night- Roasted chicken, salad, rolls, and his household famous fruit salad.
Thursday: Aidan’s birthday! (He’s turning 8!) Aidan gets to pick what we’ll have for dinner whether we eat out out or we cook up something yummy at home. Most likely pick: hamburgers and fries from Five Guys or the Shake Shack.
Friday: Audrey’s night- Brinner. Pancakes and sausage, fruit salad, and most likely some delicious dessert.
Saturday: Bob’s night-Who knows what he’ll cook up? Most likely stir fry since it’s been awhile.
Sunday: Mom’s night- Rack of lamb, mashed potatoes, salad, and green beans.
