5 Frugal Easter Ideas and a Great Giveaway #AllThingsEaster

Easter is a time when we come together as a family to celebrate. There are so many ways we can celebrate, make beautiful things, craft lovely meals, but in the end we should be able to enjoy ourselves-not stress about making a Pinterest perfect day. So we teamed up to create a great giveaway basket stuffed full of goodies for Mom (or Dad) to enjoy while the kids hunt eggs and gobble down treats.

Colleen of Souffle Bombay and Heather of Real: The Kitchen and Beyond decided to gather 26 bloggers to share some of their Easter Entertaining Ideas with you and I’m excited to be sharing my ideas to make your celebration special (without spending a lot!).

5 Frugal Easter Ideas

5 Frugal Easter Ideas
1. Plan an easy meal.
While it’s tempting to go all out planning a simple and delicious meal is a great way to save big (and save on cleanup time!). Consider my Easter Menu Plan from last year, or think about hosting a potluck. You can provide the main dish(es), gathering space, and decor while the family pitches in with all the delicious sides, desserts, and crafts.

2. Keep Easter baskets simple.
There are lots of ways to save big on Easter baskets. Shop at the dollar store for a few simple toys, or even small craft kits. Consider one big gift for the family instead of multiple baskets. Don’t overload them with candy and instead pick one chocolate bunny or two or three packs of their favorite candies.

3. Reuse your Easter eggs.
If you hardboil eggs look for some great ideas below. If you buy plastic egges when you’re done with them at Easter time you can create these adorableDIY Play Kitchen Eggs.

4. Make some fun kid-friendly crafts top decorate for Easter.
Instead of going all out with fancy linens, fine china, and complicated crafts consider simple crafts like this bunny treat jar to store the Easter bunny’s delivery.

5. Shop ahead for next year after Easter.
In the days following the holiday it’s a great time to stock up on supplies that you can’t find year-round but you can find on deep discount at post-holiday. From decor items to the perfect goodies for an Easter basket you’ll find everything you need at deals from 25-90% off!

I LOVE the reusing eggs idea! These are such simple ideas. I think we go to town too much on the holidays sometimes and drive ourselves crazy!

Absolutely! We’ve scaled back a ton but I still question how much we do at times.

I love these ideas! We are hosting our first Easter dinner and these are all great reminders. I love the idea of how to reuse the easter egg hunt eggs too. I also think I am going to incorporate the bunny ear jars for the kiddos!
