Sugar hides in our food. Other names for sugar may seem odd, confusing, and downright weird. You probably know that brown sugar is sugar, or that cane sugar is sugar, but you may not realize that dextrose is sugar as well. And you may not realize it’s in things like pasta sauce (really!), applesauce, crackers, bread, and so much more.
No matter what name it goes by sugar can be incredibly addicting. Breaking up with sugar can be hard to do, but I know you can do it. I know because I was the biggest sweet tooth ever and I broke up with sugar late last year. I can now indulge occasionally without much of an issue, but I know it’s a slippery slope, so I recommitting to no sugar along with my whole family, and am inviting you all along for the ride.
There are challenges to be sure, some of which I outlined when I announced the challenge, but the biggest one is when you go to the store you have to really, really, really read all the labels to find what has sugar.
To get you started before we start the challenge I put together a list of what the names of sugar are on the packaging or ingredients list for packaged products.

I am definitely trying this!!! Thanks for sharing!
We try to eat pretty healthily most of the time, especially since hubs is going to be a doctor, but I don’t know if I could ever do a complete sugar detox. It sounds difficult since sugar is in so many things. Good luck! Let us know how it turns out.
