Rocksbox is one of my favorite indulgences lately. As I have shared in the past they are a subscription jewelry service that allows you to create a style profile and wish list of items you love. A stylist will put together a personalized box for you with one of your wish list items and a few complimentary pieces to go along with it.
Jewelry can be expensive, but by using Rocksbox you can try out pieces for up to a month and return them when you’re done. That way if you want to try a new style or need something for an upcoming event such as a wedding or conference you will have some new pieces to use without having to buy.
The box subscription costs $21 per month. You get $10 in credit each month to put towards anything you want to keep, and the best part is that the pieces are discounted, so you’re getting a great deal, too. Even better? You can get a free month with an exclusive code for Centsible Life readers (scroll down for more info).
Tip: Keep in mind one month doesn’t mean one box! If you return your box they’ll send you another one and another! I have had as many as three boxes in a month, though I think you could probably get up to four.
This month’s picks were centered around an agate necklace I picked out. As part of my style profile I have chosen both silver and gold pieces, and let my stylist know that I don’t want earrings or rings sent with my boxes. You may choose the opposite! It’s really about what works for you.
I also chose a mix of classic and statement pieces and a variety of places I’d wear pieces from the bus stop to a conference room.
August Rocksbox
Here are my August selections. Can you figure out which ones I kept?
Gorjana Elea Cuff
This gorgeous cuff is hammered gold. I love the way it catches the light. It is easily adjustable by stretching it.
Margaret Elizabeth Ten Stone Bangle in Labradorite
This bangle has 10 labradorite stones in a gray color that are lovely. It’s a bit heavy, and a very structured piece. It’s one size, and was slightly too big on my arm.
Robyn Rhodes Agate Necklace
This is the agate necklace I added to my wish list. I love, love, love to color of the stone, the gold running through it, and the chain. I know I’d like it when I saw it, but I’ve been wearing it pretty much every day.
What I Kept
Which pieces do you think I kept? I ended up keeping the agate necklace and the cuff. The bangle is gorgeous, but it just felt to big and heavy.
Which pieces do you like best?
