Food Lion just launched a recipe new site that’s redesigned to help customers find great deals at their local stores and search for the best recipes. I’m always on the hunt for new recipes, and love to make my own, so when they asked me to share AND make a recipe I was in. I took a look at their site to help you learn what you’ll find there.
Food Lion Recipe Portal
Food Lion’s Recipe portal is an awesome tool. You can find a variety of recipes from breakfast to dinner and you can search for specific ingredient, types of diet (like gluten-free), events (like graduation), by cooking method, and more.
The recipes are approved by Food Lion, so there aren’t going to be any duds here! You can save recipes, rate them, share your favorites, and more. My favorite part? You can build your shopping list right from the recipe portal!
Ingredients can be checked and added to your shopping list!
Here’s how it works. You check off the ingredients to create a shopping list on the recipe portal. From there you can print it, send it via email, or login from your phone to see your list while you shop. Easy peasy.
Click save, and you’re set!
Vegan Summer Southwestern Salad Recipe
I created this recipe for Food Lion’s recipe portal, and am excited to share it with you. You can see some drool-worthy pictures below, but to get the full details you’ll have to click over to Food Lion’s recipe portal. 😉
I was inspired by the amazing summer produce at Food Lion. The peaches were perfection, the corn was just being stacked, and all the produce looked amazing. I decided to build this summer salad around all those great veggies and fruit. This salad is packed with protein, too! So you can make a light but satisfying meal out of this.
Here’s a closeup:
What it looks like when I served it up.
Aren’t you ready to dig in? I know I was!
Verdict? It was delicious!
Head over to Food Lion’s Recipe portal to check out my vegan summer southwestern salad recipe and tons more great recipes.

Not vegan but almost makes me want to try and I’m usually (don’t laugh) anti-vegetable.
This looks super yummy and the greens look so fresh!
