Today like many people in the NorthEast I woke up to snow on the ground. I thought it was a cruel joke. I mean it is April right?! Perhaps it’s just Mother Nature’s way of playing an April Fool’s Day joke on us all. Especially considering now that it’s the afternoon and the snow is all gone.
I’m pretending it’s spring anyway, especially since it looks like it will be warm next week, and I’m headed to Florida in a few weeks, and hope to soak up enough sun to finally make my feet warm again (they’ve been cold since September).
First we start with shoes. Of course I’ll need a pedicure first, but to celebrate Spring I’ll be wearing lots of comfortable but fun clothes.
I love the way flip flops have become a fashion statement. Of course you can buy designer brands for $50 (or more!) but stick to Old Navy or similar stores and you can get a dozen pairs for the same price.
These adorable blingy flip flops are only $9.50:
Or how about something more fun (but still bright and cheery?) and only $7.50!
I can’t wait to wear shorts and skirts again. I prefer longer lengths both because they are more comfortable for me, but also feel more versatile. A longer pair of shorts can easily be dressed up with a chic blouse or a polo shirt for classic prep style.
I love the look of these, but not the pricetag ($64.50 at jcrew.com) but will look for something similar in a much more budget-friendly pricepoint.
Tank tops! Oh my arms would love to feel the sun again. I love pairing a tank top that’s super cheap with a shirt or cardigan, but I also love getting dressier tank tops from stores like Banana Republic and pairing them with a cozy cardigan for keeping warm, but also love wearing them solo when it’s nice out and I have somewhere to go (IE not my living room couch).
I love this top from Banana-the length is great since I have a longer torso, and the fit is great-it hides all that middle area so well.
DRESSES! I can not wait to wear dresses more often-they are so easy to pop on and go-no mixing and matching pieces-just accessorize and go. Target always has amazing trendy and fun dresses for $30 and under. They aren’t made to last season after season though, so if you find one you like be sure to pick up a few! I love the cut of these dresses. So perfect for my figure, and they look comfy too! And both are only $20!
Are you ready for Spring? What are the Spring clothes you can’t wait to pull out of your closet?
Kelly
Thanks for the tip!
Saw some really cute shorts that look like the ones at banana republic at target yesterday. Price less than Banana Republic I’m sure!
